Revelry is the first book in the “R” series poetry collection. The poems included are soaked in sun and hope, whisking the reader away on a journey through wild exploration and stillness. A delicate compilation of heart, love, and mischief, Revelry is an uplifting, positive, and comforting book that may be used as a security blanket for some and a conversation starter for others. Though these poems are written from a female perspective, these universal emotions are felt and can be used to connect with all, as this is the human experience.v

Born in the heart of Pennsylvania and a native of both coasts, J. Claire “Poet of the Wild” began writing poetry in her early teen years as a haven through all the adolescent storms. J. Claire’s poems are a collection of heart, love, adventure, and loss while colliding with realizations through growth and stillness. Her love for the arts expands into nature, as she is an ultra-marathon endurance athlete, an avid traveler, educator, and explorer. J. Claire resides in Colorado with her husband.

Did you know that Laura Ingalls Wilder and her daughter, Rose Wilder Lane, were quite the dynamic duo in the creation of Little House on the Prairie books?
As this year’s Committee Chair of The LAURA Short Fiction Award, I’m learning so much about the award’s namesake, Laura Ingalls Wilder. If you are interested in learning more about this unique and sometimes contentious collaboration, check out the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum.
And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention there is still time to submit your short story for the 2025 LAURA Short Fiction Award.
Happy Writing Trails!
