We are looking to expand the reach of these contests to high school students anywhere in the world. The submission period opens August 15, 2026 and runs through September 30, 2026. There are three categories:
Poetry (25 lines max); Haiku (3 lines max; limit 3 haiku); and Songwriting (2 verses and chorus; bridge, optional).
Short prose stories (1,500 to 2,000 words)
Articles, bios, or event reports (500 to 700 words)
There is no charge to enter these contests, but there are cash prizes awarded in each category.
Please consider downloading the Invitation and Poster to help us promote this to the young people in your community. You may wish to share with local media outlets, schools, students you know, etc.
